1. For Rutgers-Camden students in the College of Arts and Sciences and University College:

The Odyssey Fund, established by JoAnn Mower in 2010, "will support undergraduate students in the Camden College of Arts and Sciences and University College who take a Learning Abroad course. Each student will receive a one-time award to be used toward the cost of the associated trip."

2. For Rutgers-Camden students in the School of Business, the School of Nursing, and the College of Arts and Sciences:

The Edward P. and Carolyn Kiessling Annual Fund for International Studies, established in 2013, supports programs and activities involving international programs at Rutgers-Camden. The Fund may be used to "provide scholarships to students from Rutgers-Camden participating in international study courses and/or programs" and to "provide modest stipends for students participating in international study courses," among other uses. Available mostly to undergraduates but in some circumstances a graduate student may receive an award.  

3. For students who demonstrate need:

Students who demonstrate considerable financial need are eligible to receive a limited number of additional Learning Abroad scholarships. The Scholarship Committee will take into consideration your financial aid data as well as your short-answer responses in the scholarship application. Please address any specific financial need in Question 2 of the application.

4. School of Nursing-Camden Grant for Guatemala and Bolivia

Rutgers-Camden students traveling to Guatemala and Bolivia are eligible for a scholarship funded by a School of Nursing-Camden grant to support students in the health profession who travel to Spanish-speaking countries. Please note on your application if you have taken the Spanish for Health Professionals course (online or in-person) or are a student at Atlantic Cape Community College or Mercer County Community College.

Grants will range from $500 to $1500. Deadline for submission is December 8, 2017; decisions will be announced by December 22, 2017. Any Rutgers-Camden student can apply for a scholarship regardless of application status. Only submit one application, the Committee will determine which scholarship(s) you are eligible for.

5. Office of New Student Programs Passport Program

The Rutgers-Camden Office of New Student Programs (ONSP) is excited to announce the Passport Program. If you attend a number of Passport-approved events on campus during the fall semester, you will be entered to win a fully paid Learning Abroad experience. Find more information here.

6. Student Veterans

The Rotary Club of Haddonfield generously provides one student veteran each year with a scholarship to cover costs of a Learning Abroad program. Please contact the Office of International Students and Global Programs for more information (
